Welcome to Tel‑One Communications. This page provides a simplified overview of key Terms of Service. It is not a replacement for the full legal agreement but offers an at‑a‑glance guide to essential responsibilities, limitations, and policies.
1. Service Overview
- Using Tel‑One services means you accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Your service requires an active and reliable Internet connection.
- Unlimited calling applies to the continental U.S. & Canada.
- Third‑party partners may impose additional requirements.
2. Account Roles
- Administrators :Primary account owner with full authority over all services, billing updates, cancellations, and number porting.
3. Billing Summary
- Services renew monthly unless cancelled with 30 days’ notice.
- Service will remain active and billing will continue until all number(s) are fully ported out to the new service or carrier.
- Payments are non‑refundable.
- Late fee: 1.5% per month.
- High usage may require a security deposit.
4. Equipment
- 24‑hour window to cancel equipment orders without penalty.
- After 24 hours → 30% restocking fee (if equipment is returned in like‑new condition).
- Manufacturer warranty applies; Tel‑One does not provide hardware warranties directly.
5. Personal Information & Privacy
TEL-ONE utilizes the public Internet and third party networks to provide voice and data services. Accordingly, TEL-ONE cannot guarantee the security of your voice and data communications.
TEL-ONE is committed to respecting your privacy. If you choose to provide personal information, it will only be used in the context of your relationship with TEL-ONE.
TEL-ONE will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to others. Unless required by law, subpoena, court order, warrant or other valid government request,
TEL-ONE will only share personally identifiable information you provide with other TEL-ONE entities and/or business partners (including Marketing Partners and Authorized Distributors) that are acting on TEL-ONE’s behalf to perform the activities described herein and in accordance with the TEL-ONE Privacy Policy, located at https://tel-one.com/privacy-policy
6. Service Change Notifications
From time to time, TEL-ONE may send you and your employee’s emails or text messages (SMS) describing new or changed Services, and how to access them, to the email addresses or SMS mobile phone numbers you provide. If you provide us with your cell phone number, you consent to receiving service-related information from us via SMS.
You will receive service related emails or SMS messages even if you have opted out of receiving other emails or other SMS messages from TEL-ONE.
If you do not want to receive service related emails or SMS messages, you may cancel the Service at any time as provided in this Agreement You also agree that you are solely responsible for the SMS charges that your wireless provider may charge for both sending and SMS to us and for receiving any account-related SMS from us.
7. Cancellation Rules
- Cancellation must be provided in writing by the System Admin via email to support@tel-one.com.
- Cancellation must be submitted with 30 days’ notice.
- The account will continue to be billed until all numbers are fully ported out to the new carrier.
- Minimum‑term agreements: All remaining months are billed immediately upon cancellation.
- Voicemail, call recordings, and all other stored data are permanently deleted once the cancellation is processed.
8. Fair Use Policy
You may not use Tel‑One services for:
- Auto‑dialers, mass calling, fax blasting
- Reselling service
- Abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activity
- Excessive use beyond normal business levels
- Bulk unsolicited messaging or automated tools
Excessive use may result in:
- Overage fees (minimum $0.06/min or page)
- Service plan changes
- Suspension or termination
9. Number Porting
- Port-in requests require proper documentation no porting fee for new accounts
- You must notify Tel‑One before porting out numbers to avoid continued billing.
- Numbers will require a port-out fee (minimum $10 for first number $5.00 for any addition numbers).
- Port-in delays are not Tel‑One’s responsibility.
10. Emergency 911 Limitations
- 911 may not function during:
Power outages
- Loss of Internet
- Service suspension or billing issues
- You must keep your service address updated.
- Tel‑One recommends maintaining a backup phone such as a mobile device.
11. Liability
- Services are provided “AS IS”.
- Maximum liability: $250 or 6 months of service fees (whichever is less).
12. Dispute Resolution
- All disputes are handled through binding arbitration.
- Class actions are not permitted.
- A formal Notice of Dispute must be sent before arbitration.
13. Governing Law
- Governed by the laws of New York State.
- Non-arbitrated matters handled in Nassau County, NY.
