Who is e-DATA?

We are a leading manufacturer of Web-based appliances for physical access control and time & attendance. e-DATA products include an integrated fingerprint biometrics module that is FIPS 201 compliant. Our offices are located in Coppell, Texas (Dallas) and Leonberg, Germany (Stuttgart).

In 1999, e-DATA developed the first network-ready, Web-enabled data collection terminal using Java on a Linux OS. For more than 15 years, the company also developed and deployed enterprise-level access control systems that are used by major banks, retailers and pharmacies. Building on that foundation, e-DATA has developed a full line of feature-rich access control and time & attendance products with the software application embedded in the hardware, eliminating the need for servers and software.

Where did e-DATA originate?

The company was founded by Dietrich Titze more than 20 years ago near Stuttgart, Germany, under the name Titze Datentechnik GmbH. Today, e-DATA is led by Chairman George K. Broady and President/CTO John Carter.

Technologically superior products

A PC/104 design platform based upon Open Standards, powerful enough to run applications at the terminal.
Applications support REST/SOAP Web Services and are built upon the platform independence of Java to run on the stable and secure Linux OS.
Configuration supporting flexible XML configuration language offering a wide range of flexibility in data collection and display.
Options include flash memory expansion, battery backup, universal intrusion control and modularity.
